Terms of Service
Before using FactoryDossier, take two minutes to understand our role — and its limits.
1. What we do
FactoryDossier provides information, verification and matchmaking services: identifying and verifying Chinese buyer factories for overseas suppliers, and Chinese source factories for overseas buyers, plus optional inspection and transaction-support coordination. We act as an independent intermediary.
2. We are not a party to your deal
Commercial contracts are concluded directly between you and your counterparty. We do not take title to goods, do not sign contracts on your behalf, and are not responsible for a counterparty's performance.
3. Reports and data
Reports are compiled from public government registries, licensed commercial databases and authorized disclosures, to the best of our professional ability. Before paying for a report you may independently verify any entry — that is our Verify-Then-Pay promise. Reports are for your own business use and may not be resold.
4. Fees
Reports are billed per report at a quoted price; deal-support services are charged as a success-based commission agreed in writing in advance. No hidden fees. The initial consultation is free.
5. Inspection and escrow
Quality inspection and escrow services are performed by licensed third-party institutions under their own terms. FactoryDossier is not a bank or payment institution and never holds client funds.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for complying with the import and export rules that apply to your goods — including China customs procedures, CIQ inspection, CCC certification where applicable, and your own country's regulations.
7. Compliance and refusal of service
We may decline or terminate service where a transaction would violate applicable laws, export-control rules or international sanctions, or where a client requests any misuse of data.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid for the specific service concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, they will be submitted to the competent courts at our place of business.
